Kids have an inbuilt sense of wonder and creativity, and easily find joy in the act of making things. Adults on the other hand? They sometimes need a reminder of just how much fun there is to be had in finger painting, making mud pies or building cushion cubby houses. One thing we all need to keep in mind is that God is the best maker of all. Not only did he make this big, beautiful planet, but He's also preparing a new heaven and earth, which will be better than anyone can imagine.
So whether we are building sandcastles on the beach or looking for a glimpse of God's new heaven and earth in the Scriptures, let us remember the joy of making things and the incredible creativity of our God.
